MISSIONARIES WE SUPPORT

MISSION STATEMENT

Reaching, Planting, Training and Touching others with God’s Love.

PURPOSE STATEMENT

 “So all can hear.”

These principles are clear and simple. But neither our mission nor our purpose can be accomplished without motivation. Our motivation comes directly from the Words of our Lord and Savior.

First is the “Great Commission” found at the end of Matthew, (Matt. 28:18-20). Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age.”

The second scripture that motivates us towards missions is found in the first chapter of Acts (1:7,8). Jesus said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by His own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem (Klamath Falls), and in all Judea and Samaria (Oregon and the United States), and to the ends of the earth (all the world).”

These imperative instructions from Jesus are the reasons; we go, we provide financial support, we train leaders, and we share “The Wonderful Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

MISSIONS DIRECTORS

Robert and Gayle Wilson

Robert and Gayle Wilson

Robert and Gayle Wilson have had a heart for missions since they first fell in love 45 years ago. However, it was not until after their retirements from teaching in the public schools and Robert’s 30-year commitment to the Army Reserves, that they were able to realize the fulfillment of their mission dreams. Over the years they have been involved in building and supporting churches in Mexico City, Ethiopia, Kenya, Papua New Guinea, Haiti, India and most recently the ongoing work in The Philippines. They have a special heart for children as they have always supported the outreaches of Compassion International, Samaritan’s Purse and Operation Christmas Child.

Since coming on staff in the summer of 2013, God has expanded their vision of the importance and variety of mission work that is being accomplished through the body of Christ at Faith Tabernacle and the Assemblies of God Missions. God has uniquely prepared Robert and Gayle for this ministry; together their giftings include compassion, teaching, helps, administration, hospitality, and evangelism. God has placed in all of our hearts a desire to share the love of Jesus with other, whether it is with your neighbors down the street or half way around the world. When you feel the tug on your heart to share God’s Love with others, don’t ignore it. It may just be the start of a God ordained adventure that you were created for. The Missions Department at Faith Tabernacle is here to help you fulfill your Godly destiny.
