| Group Study |

Watch the short clips below, and answer the questions associated with each.  You can do this alone - but it's always more fun with a group of friends!

Be sure to read/study the scriptures in each section.  God's word is the standard by which we measure all our thoughts and ideas.

1 | trustworthy

Trustworthiness and faithfulness are two key ingredients in the Christian walk.

Who is the most trustworthy person you know?
Why do you think they are more trustworthy than most?

2 | servant of all

Servanthood is a theme that runs all throughout the life and teachings of Jesus.  What does it mean to you (in everyday language) to be a servant of God?

What are some ways we (the church) get this right?
What are some ways we (the church) can work on this?

scripture: Philippians 2:1-8, John 13:12-17

3 | not a democracy

We enjoy the idea that are children of God, that we are friends of God.  What we don't talk about much is that we are only friends with Christ if we do what he says (John 15:14), and being children of God means that we must be obedient to our father.

The master speaks, we obey.  Christ said that if we love him, we will keep his commands.  So, what are his commands?  What are the things he asked us to do?  How many can you think of?

scripture: John 15:14

4 | the wedding feast

As Christians, we have the joy and the honor of fulfilling the Great Commission (make disciples of all nations).  Each of us has been given a stack of wedding invitations with instructions to hand them out - and invite people to the wedding feast.

How easy or difficult is it to hand out those invitations?  What method do you think works the best?

scripture: Revelation 19:6-9, Matthew 22:1-10
